Benefits of the procedure

One of the main advantages of this method is its minimal invasiveness. Thanks to the use of endoscopic technology, scars after surgery are practically invisible. Additional benefits of this surgery include:

Disadvantages of the method

The main disadvantage of this method is the temporary nature of the result. The implanted fat cells dissolve over time and after 1.5-2 years their volume decreases noticeably. To maintain it, it is recommended to carry out correction. In addition, the method of breast augmentation with fat allows you to achieve an increase of only 1-1.5 sizes.

Indications and contraindications

The main indication for the procedure is breast asymmetry. In particular, lipofilling is useful after unsuccessful plastic surgery using implants. Other indications include inability to use prostheses and changes in breast shape.

Main contraindications:

  • Cardiological and pulmonary diseases
  • Diabetes
  • Presence of malignant tumors

The procedure is also not recommended if you have dermatological problems. It is not carried out during breastfeeding and during active inflammatory processes in the body.

Features of the intervention

Before surgery, each patient undergoes a comprehensive medical examination. It includes:

  • Laboratory tests of blood and urine
  • ECG
  • Ultrasound examination of the mammary glands
  • Fluorography

In some cases (especially with venous diseases), an ultrasound scan of the lower extremities is required. Also, preliminary consultations are carried out with specialized specialists - a mammologist, a therapist and a phlebologist.

Lipofilling is a fairly quick process: the total duration of the operation rarely exceeds an hour and a half.

The main essence of the surgery is to obtain adipose tissue from donor areas, clear it of blood using specialized centrifugation devices and then inject it into the mammary glands using small injections.

Features of rehabilitation

Rehabilitation after lipofilling is considered quite fast and in most cases additional medical procedures (massage, physiotherapy) are not required.

However, to help the body recover, it is recommended to wear a compression bra immediately after surgery. This device not only supports the breasts in the desired position, but also helps reduce swelling and improves the survival of fat cells.

During the first few days after surgery, you should limit contact of the operated areas with water. This is necessary to prevent the development of inflammation. Puncture sites should be treated with antiseptic solutions to prevent infections.

During the first weeks after surgery, it is advisable to minimize physical activity. This also applies to driving a car, since seat belt pressure can negatively affect the outcome of the procedure.

Some medications (for example, those containing ibuprofen) negatively affect the healing process and cell survival. Therefore, you can take them only after consulting a doctor.

Risks after breast lipofilling

During the first days after surgery, women experience discomfort. They are a natural reaction of the body to the treatment. In 90% of cases there is:

  • Redness in the surgical area
  • Swelling or bruising
  • Moderate pain

Most patients successfully undergo the rehabilitation period without any problems. However, due to the individual characteristics of the body or other factors, there is a risk of infection spreading and the appearance of small seals in the operated area.

If the patient notices that the symptoms not only do not disappear, but also intensify over time, he should immediately consult a doctor.
