Before kindergarten and school

After the parents have received the long-awaited referral to kindergarten, they are faced with the need for the child to undergo a medical examination and to issue a medical card (form No. 026/y - 2000) for the child to enter an educational institution.

The medical card is an A4 notebook, in which medical information about the child will be indicated during the entire time the child visits educational institutions (from admission to kindergarten to graduation from school).

Mandatory document

In accordance with the current procedure for admission to educational organizations, parents are required to provide a medical certificate to the institution. Failure to submit the documents required for enrollment is the basis for refusing to accept the child.

A medical report is usually issued in the form of a card. The legislation does not prohibit the provision of the opinion of the medical commission containing information on the admission of the child to kindergarten in a different form. In this case, the educational organization to which the student enters will be obliged to enter the card.

You can pass the commission at the K+31 clinic, which does not require a long wait for referrals to the right doctors.

What kind of doctors do you need to go through?

The list of specialists may differ slightly, this is due to the fact that the age of children entering an educational institution for the first time is different. Some children do not attend kindergarten and therefore are faced with obtaining a card only when they enter school.

An extended list of doctors is also possible for admission to correctional institutions.

Pediatrician

The pediatrician conducts an initial examination and collection of anamnesis, issues referrals for tests and writes to specialists.

Based on the results of the medical examination, he draws up a conclusion on the child's readiness to attend an educational institution, determines the health group, acquaints parents with the recommendations of doctors.

Children's neurologist

The doctor will determine the degree of psychological maturity of the child, check the vestibular apparatus, and determine the level of mental development compliance with the age norm.

Children's ophthalmologist

If necessary, measure intracranial pressure, check visual acuity, determine the presence/absence of problems leading to strabismus and astigmatism. It is in childhood that the identified problems are treatable, which is much more difficult already in adulthood.

Dermatologist

Examination by a specialist will allow you to check for the presence of skin diseases (eczema, psoriasis, scabies, etc.), which becomes especially important in infectious dermatological diseases.

Pediatric surgeon/Orthopedic surgeon

He will assess the formed musculoskeletal system and musculoskeletal system of the child. Examination allows you to identify at an early stage tumors and hernias.

Pediatric otolaryngologist

He will assess the anatomical structure of the ENT organs, check the child's hearing level. In childhood, there is a high risk of developing adenoids, examination and specialist recommendations will prevent the onset of this disease.

Children's dentist

The doctor will assess the general condition of the oral cavity, determine the correspondence of the number of teeth to the child's age, and, if necessary, give recommendations on the observance of the necessary hygiene procedures to ensure proper care of the teeth and oral cavity.

Speech therapist (for children over 3 years old)

The specialist will assess the level of the child's articulatory apparatus and speech development, the age-appropriateness of the formed speech skills.

In the presence of complex defects, he will recommend a development program or clarify the need to contact a special educational institution.

Psychologist/Psychotherapist

Before entering kindergarten, a doctor's consultation will allow you to establish the level of social readiness and the upcoming degree of adaptation to the children's team (light, medium, severe).

To determine the degree of psychological readiness for further schooling, examination by a specialist in front of the school involves conducting a conversation and performing a test task by a child.

In order to issue a medical card for admission to grade 1, in addition for girls, you will need to go through a gynecologist.

In addition to the conclusions of specialists, the passage of a medical examination involves the delivery of tests, the standard list is:

  • General analysis of urine and blood.
  • Scraping for enterobiasis.
  • Feces on i/g.
  • Electrocardiogram.

The list of studies can be expanded if the child has chronic diseases and/or pathologies (congenital or acquired).

Do not forget that doctors' opinions and analyzes have a validity period, for the first ones it is 3 months, for test results - no more than 1 month.

Help 026u makes it as easy as possible to track the dynamics of development and the state of health of the child, in addition, it simplifies the process of registration of planned medical examinations in schools and kindergartens, allows specialists to see the history of the disease (if any), to identify problem areas and prospects for the development of the child.
