How does Myotox work?

Myotox, being a drug based on botulinum toxin type A, has a complex effect on the body. The main mechanism of action of the drug is blocking neuromuscular transmission, which leads to muscle relaxation in the area of drug administration.

After an injection into the muscle, Myotox interacts with nerve endings, preventing the release of acetylcholine, a substance responsible for transmitting a signal from nerves to muscles. This causes temporary relaxation of muscle fibers and a decrease in their activity.
The effect of the drug manifests itself gradually. The first signs of muscle relaxation are observed 2-3 days after the injection, and the maximum effect is achieved after 7-14 days. The duration of action can be from 4 to 6 months.

- Preparing the drug and instruments. The doctor draws the required dose of Myotox into a syringe with a thin needle. Since the drug is ready for use in liquid form, there is no need for dilution, which reduces the risk of dosage errors.
- Injections. The drug is injected into pre-designated areas. The doctor may ask the patient to tense certain facial muscles to more accurately determine the puncture sites.
At the final stage, the skin is re-treated with an antiseptic, and the patient is given care instructions.
