Surgical lifting methods

  • SMAS-lifting - tightening of the skin of the face and neck, used to remove sagging skin, improve the shape of the face and smooth out age-related wrinkles and folds;
  • endoscopic facelift is a procedure performed using a special one through small punctures. This method is well suited for middle-aged skin that has not lost its original elasticity;
  • laser facelift - suitable for removing signs of aging, it does not involve surgical intervention. Can be performed under anesthesia;
  • thread facelift - with this method, special, self-absorbing surgical threads are used, which are inserted through micropunctures. This method involves a quick recovery period.

Key points of the operation

  • This operation is performed under general anesthesia (endotracheal anesthesia).
  • The average duration of the operation is about 3.5-4 hours.
  • Hospital stay is about 24-48 hours.

Features of facelift surgery

Before the procedure, as prescribed by the doctor, all necessary examinations are carried out to help avoid complications. The lift itself takes place under endotracheal anesthesia and lasts up to 4 hours, after which the patient is sent to the hospital for up to 48 hours.

After a facelift, there may be discomfort, swelling and bruising, which will go away in a few weeks. To reduce the patient’s discomfort, the doctor may prescribe medications or prescribe a course of physiotherapy.

If the facelift surgery involved stitches, they will be removed after 1-2 weeks, depending on the type of intervention and the patient’s recovery rate.

The final results will be visible in 8-9 months. This is exactly how long it will take for complete tissue restoration after surgery. After this period, the patient will be able to notice significant rejuvenation for 10-15 years.
