Breakthrough in oncology: treatment of metastatic melanoma with the drug "Nurdati"

Recently, a young patient with a relapse of metastatic melanoma came to the K+31 West clinic. After successful remission on targeted drugs, the disease made itself felt again.

An important task has arisen - to choose a new approach to treatment.

We decided to use the drug “Nurdati” - one of the first fixed combinations of immunotherapeutic molecules in Russia. It is a combination of anti-PD1 and anti-CTLA4 checkpoint inhibitors aimed at activating the patient's immune system to fight tumor cells.

The results of the phase II BCD-217-1/OBERTON study show a significant increase in progression-free survival: 41% of patients on Nurdati achieved this indicator versus 25.4% on standard therapy.

Treatment consists of 4 cycles of 90-minute infusions given every 21 days. Thanks to this innovative approach, our patient had a chance for sustainable improvement.
