Two days after embryo transfer

ekopi3.jpg Life in the first days after the transfer of a fertilized egg and before the pregnancy tests are carried out is the most crucial stage. The likelihood of a successful conception largely depends on the behavior of the patients and their level of self-control. Constant stress, physical activity and inappropriate nutrition prevent the normal implantation of a diploid cell into the wall of the uterus. Therefore, the period between embryo transfer and pregnancy test should be limited.

Development of the fetus after transplantation into the uterus

After the IVF procedure, the development of the zygote consists not only in the separation of germ cells (blastomeres). During its introduction into the endometrium, a cascade of hormonal and physiological processes in the body of the expectant mother is observed:

  • Biochemical - the concentration of lysosomes increases, thereby creating optimal conditions for loosening the endometrium and subsequent implantation of a diploid cell;
  • Biophysical - an increase in cell mass on the surface of the zygote leads to hatching (rupture of its outer shell) and the introduction of the embryo into the uterus;
  • Trophic - until the final formation of the intrauterine connection between the embryo and the mother, nutrition occurs due to the destruction of endometrial cells;
  • Form-forming - the formation of intra-embryonic and extra-embryonic organs and tissue structures is observed.

In the first two days before the transfer of embryos, the blastomere division process takes place. During the first day, 2 or 4 of them are formed, and during the second - 4 more. The IVF procedure involves replanting three or five-day blastomeres.

2 days after conception - signs of pregnancy

In 90% of cases, after the procedure, women do not feel specific changes in their well-being. Against the background of experiences, weakness, drowsiness or insomnia may appear.

Immediately after the transfer of fertilized oocytes, women may experience mucous discharge from the vagina. Their appearance is associated with the evacuation of the implantation secretion after the introduction of the zygote into the uterus. Bloody impurities indicate loosening of the endometrium and implantation of a prepared egg into its wall.

If the embryo transfer is successful, the first signs of pregnancy appear within 9-14 days. In many women, after the IVF procedure, the basal temperature rises, which is associated with physiological and hormonal changes. If within 3-4 days the basal temperature does not exceed 37 C, it is recommended to consult an obstetrician-gynecologist.

2 days after embryo transfer - sensations

ekopi2.jpg Successful implantation of a zygote (diploid cell) into the uterus is accompanied by gradual changes throughout the body. The main manifestations of biochemical pregnancy include:

  • nausea;
  • change in emotional state;
  • intolerance to odors;
  • lack or increased appetite;
  • weakness and insomnia;
  • swelling of the mammary glands.

Emotional lability is one of the key manifestations of pregnancy, manifested against the background of intense hormonal changes in the body.

2 dpp test

ekopi5.jpg Experts recommend doing a pregnancy test starting on the 14th day after the diploid cell transfer. To determine the success of the IVF procedure, a laboratory blood test is performed. With its help, the concentration of human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) in plasma is determined. This hormone is produced by the zygote, therefore, its high concentration in the blood indicates the onset of pregnancy.

Home tests also respond to serum hCG levels, but they cannot accurately quantify hormone levels. To develop further tactics of pregnancy management, the specialist must know exactly the activity of hCG production by the zygote.

As evidenced by the hCG indicators:

  1. up to 25 mU / ml - the embryo did not implant or died;
  2. 50-70 mU / ml - pregnancy has begun, but requires correction of maintenance hormonal therapy;
  3. up to 150 mU / ml - the normal course of pregnancy;
  4. over 200 mU / ml - multiple pregnancy or abnormal development of the embryo.

It is possible to determine the location of the fetus in the uterine cavity using ultrasound, but only 20-25 days after successful fertilization. With insufficient development of physiological processes, pregnancy management tactics change.

2 dpp three days

When three-day-old embryos are transferred into the uterus, the number of blastomeres increases to 12-16 pieces. Due to the compaction process, the bonds between cells are strengthened, as a result of which the density of the outer layer of the embryo membrane increases.

ekopi1.jpg Processes taking place within two days after IVF:

  1. a tissue cavity is formed inside the zygote;
  2. blastomeres are divided into two large groups, each of which will subsequently perform its functions;
  3. on the second day after the transfer, the diploid cell leaves the strong membrane;
  4. The blastocyte attaches to the wall of the uterus, and a trophoblast forms around it, through which the embryo receives nutrition and oxygen.

14-15 days after the procedure, women are assigned a test that determines the concentration of hCG in the blood and the success of the IVF procedure. The death of the embryo is most often associated with the impossibility of restructuring development processes from the "maternal stock" to individual genetic materials.

2 dpp five days - test

The probability of the onset of gestation in the case of a five-day blastocyte transfer increases 2-3 times. It should be borne in mind that not every diploid cell can reach this stage of development outside of a living organism. The probability of their survival does not exceed 40-45%, which is associated with prolonged cultivation in an artificial environment and genetic failures during the fusion of male and female germ cells.

The range of sensations after replanting five-day embryos is variable - from the absence of any changes in the body to intoxication and soreness of the mammary glands. For successful implantation of blastocytes of prolonged cultivation, stimulation of hatching is recommended, which ensures the release of the embryo from the shell and its implantation into the endometrium.

2 dpp five days hgch

HCG tests are performed 9 days after the transfer of diploid cells. The level of the hormone produced by the zygote is already sufficient to determine pregnancy. Experts warn that on the 2nd day after IVF, the appearance of implantation secretions with impurities of blood is not excluded.

It is recommended to take tests for the determination of hCG on an empty stomach in the morning. If, after the test, the concentration of the hormone is in the range of 100-150 mU / ml, this signals a successful conception and the normal course of pregnancy. If the indicator is significantly higher, 75% are diagnosed with multiple pregnancies.

ekopi4.jpg Conclusion

The period of implantation of a diploid cell into the uterus after transfer occurs within 40 hours. During this period, patients may complain of bleeding or mucus from the vagina. Already after 9-14 days after successful conception, the level of hCG rises in the blood, which leads to a restructuring of the body and the appearance of the first signs of pregnancy.
